Bought both the PS3 and Vita versions of Madden 13.

Played the full version in Gamestop a few minutes ago with the Redskins (RG3 has a speed rating of 93) and loved it.

When you boot it up for the first time DO NOT skip the intro. Ray Lewis gives a speech that makes me want to put on some pads and lay somebody out.

Finished my first game. Beat the Packers with the Lions 10-7 on All-Pro. Since when did these games stop coming with instruction manuals? I didn't even know what buttons to press for certain plays. It's a pretty slick game, though. The real-time motion or whatever it is can be a bit clunky at times, but the graphics and presentation are amazing.

The manual is in the game. It's not as robust as in the old days, but it does give you basic functionality. The manual is also available online.

I tell you, I'm loving the passing game! There's so much you can do to beat defenders now. Passing was my weakness in the '12 version of the game. At worst, it won't be a weakness in this game. Ironnically, what was once my biggest strength is now my weakness, defense. Gotta work on my pre-snap scheming.

Seems you have a lot more control in the passing game as far as leading receivers goes. It also feels like once your receiver gets behind the defense the DBs don't have that ungodly make-up speed they used to have so it's a bit easier to score on deep passes.

It's almost 7pm and I'm still at work. Still gotta spend time with my wife and daughter when I get home.

I played online for the first time yesterday. I got spanked in my first game. I threw about 4 picks. All of them were the result of my not knowing how the Total Control Passing was going to lead the receiver. I tried to angle the ball over the defenders heads, but every time the defender was able to out-jump the receiver.

In the 2nd game, I chose not to try that type of pass and had more success. In fact, my QB had a near perfect rating. My defense is still suspect, tut I won that game.
