Yeah, that's a good idea. I've seen a couple of sites that have that. I've also seen it been called "thanking" or repping.

I think a rep system would be good.  Bodybuilding.com has one that works well.

City-data.com uses reps.

I will say one of the things I love about LGM is that it's a clean, easy-to-read, easy-to-browse site... no extra clutter and eye-distractions. I love and really appreciate that. If we do get a "like" button or a thank or a rep or whatever, I hope it doesn't cause clutter like I've seen on many other forums.

Oooh. Ours could be called the "amen" button! ;D

On the Bodybuilding.com forum you can either 'rep' (add to someone's reputation) or 'neg' (Prophetic Remnant  :D ).  Negging prevents people from being jerks but that isn't a problem on LGM.  So much.  Anymore.   :D

I like +1, but Google uses that, so I think we should have our own.

LOL @ us discussing this as though the choice is ours and we just need to agree on the logistics. :D :D :D

We have to hash this out so we can present the boss with a formal proposal.   ;)

I knew you had to be on there from some of the memes that you posted. There are some crazy people on there, but also some good info.

I think with City Data you can only give positive reps. With the kinda people on there, they need to allow neg reps too. I also hate how people can send you comments and  not identify themselves. ?/?

I think they can only send you anonymous comments with a rep. Is that what you're talking about? That doesn't bother me. If you're repping me, you can say whatever you want. LOL

And yes, only positive reps. Which is also fine by me, but you're right. Those folks can really say some off the wall stuff.
