How To Properly Remove A Lift And Turn Bathtub Stopper

Okay, this guy is a lifesaver. I don't know why I didn't think to look it up online and/or talk to LGM about it. Thank God for PhB posting his random activities in his house, and thank God for Rue and Hasmo and others contributing their input. I can't wait to get home and check it out.

I think you're right. Thank you. The only problem is, my drain plug thing is like built into the drain, I don't know how to get it out to even snake the drain once I buy the snake. I don't know why anyone would lock that thing into the tub drain like that. If it's the same as mine, it actually screws in. It took me a while to figure that out... lol. Try turning it counter-clockwise and see if yours screws in. Once I unscrewed mine, I replaced it with the hair trap and never put the plug back in (but I don't take baths, so I don't really need the plug - but if I want a bath, I can just screw it back in).

Oh wow. I'm so late. LOL.

I actually typed that a few minutes ago, but then I got a phone call and got distracted. But yeah, it screws. It's not the same one I have, but whatever... you got it worked out. Now use the snake thingy, put a hair trap down and hopefully your problems will be resolved. Also, for good measure, it wouldn't hurt to pour some Drano down AFTER you use the snake thing, just to get rid of anything the snake doesn't get.

It sounded like it was like ours at my home. I just needed to see it first. Yeah, just screw it off counter clockwise with a monkey wrench and you can clean out the hindrances. Warning, that gunk build isn't something nice to see but once you get out all should be well.

this wack broadcom 43xx issue is driving me up the wall!!!

i got all the blocks off but i can't remember how to enable it ... network manager isn't giving me any options and jolicloud isn't the most helpful.... guess i will just have to install the sta drivers (didn't work last time i tried to use them)
