I don't know if I told you guys this, but my former FL who is still a much respected mentor of mine, will be travelling with me to my speaking engagement next week.  Very exciting!  She called me the other day to tell me how honored she is that I'd want her to go with me.  I was think PSSHHHYeah, I'm honored that you would want to come!  It's going to be a great time.  I speak on our second day there, and then I'll be free to enjoy myself (except for a workshop I'm supposed to do with the young people, but that's more in my comfort zone, and I'm sure I will use the wisdom of my mentor to help me out).
That's it, in a nutshell, LOL.

It's funny how that makes you comfortable, but it would make me INCREDIBLY nervous. I have to teach at a service in Jacksonville in a couple of months and I'm AGONIZING over who to invite... ugh. I'd rather be in a room full of strangers than have certain familiar faces there.

NRCBYS...I watched a documentary called "Happy" this weekend, basically about (as the name implies) what makes people happy. It was very inspiring. iTunes is giving it away for free (in HD as well) for a limited time. I think that limited time may end tomorrow in fact, so check it out if you can.

It used to make me nervous, and a while back I would've thought it would.  But one day a few years ago, I was on to speak on Sunday Morning, and low and behold, my sister blows into town.  I was nervous at first, especially since, my siblings don't really know "ministry" Vanessa, LOL.  But when I got up to speak, and was thanking God for the opportunity and giving honor to the Pastor, etc., I thanked God for my sister being there, and at that moment I almost choked up because I realized how significant it is to have someone you love supporting you when you're doing something you love and trying to do it well.  It's just a feeling I can't describe... 

As far as my former FL, she used to make me nervous, but considering that she was the one that pushed me into stepping out and having confidence, etc., it's a different dynamic.

The LV was regional coal hauler that served NJ, PA and NY.  It eventually became one of the smaller pieces of Conrail.  Conrail itself was split between rivals Norfolk Southern and CSX.

NRC, but I find it funny that I read something about confrontation this weekend and yesterday had a situation in which confrontation (somebody had to confront me) was necessary. I handled it in a mature fashion and everything turned out well.
