NRC #1 - I took keyboarding as an elective in high school. I type 105+ wpm with 0 errors. In the last couple of weeks of the class, I slacked off because I was doing so well, and I never learned how to type the numbers properly. Therefore, to this very day, I cannot type numbers properly. I have to stop my flow and hunt/peck the numbers, then resume typing. That can be pretty annoying. There's a lesson in there somewhere. I don't know how to articulate it, but I know there's a lesson in there somewhere.
NRC #2 - I'm excited because in both my classes this term, I only have one paper each. That's a major blessing considering all my classes thus far have had at least 4 papers each. HOWEVER, these professors are going too far with the videos and one has gone too far with the discussion boards. Most weeks, I have to watch a lecture, write 2 discussion boards, and 4 replies. On occasion, they may add in other videos for us to watch, usually about 5 minutes long. This week - which is the FIRST WEEK OF THE TERM - I have a lecture, plus a 58 minute video, plus two other videos (12 and 7 min each).... AND THREE discussion boards, 6 replies... and that's just for one class. That's about as bad as a paper. Ugh. I pray next week is a little lighter.
