IMO, it's easier to draw pencil-to-paper than mouse-to-monitor, but for some it may be easier to use a computer graphics program to create objects, and then arrange them on the screen, with the freedom to move them and edit them as they please without having to erase and stuff.But, yeah, start with pencil. That type of drawing could be acceptable, though, depending on what exactly the project is.
