Yup....nobody really cares the the Savanna & Atlanta Railroad is the latest heritage unit to be completed by the Norfolk Southern. Shown here in the tuxedo-paint scheme of its parent, the Central of Georgia (which shared this scheme with its parent the Southern Railway), is NS # 1075, an SD-70ACe locomotive built by EMD (which was for most of its existence a division of General Motors until a few years ago).

Interesting (umm.....well if you have an interest in these kinds of things) fact about the Norfolk's Southern locomotive fleet is that there was a period of time when the frugal company ordered diesels without one somewhat important feature.........a toilet. Crews would have to resort to the 'dry hopper method' which you could probably imagine what that would entail. In late 1997 Norfolk Southern finally agreed to provide locomotives with toilets for its crews and everybody has been happy ever since
