I've never been in "the dog house", but I can't imagine how being single is more difficult. Being single, there are no expectations to manage except your own.
This.
MHow is being single more difficult? I go where I wanna, when I wanna, how I wanna.
Now that I think about it, it was probably hard for Phb because he had to do his own cooking and laundry and stuff that his momma wasn't doing any more, lol.
NRC, but I think I'm beginning to understand the number system a little better as it relates to chords. On the C scale, 1=C; 2=D 3=E; 4=F; 5=G; 6=A; 7=B; 8(1)=C.Now to explore more in the threads that go in depth.
When did you say you're going to start teaching again?
lol
Did I miss something? SMH!Ugh!
Just LL trying to be smart I've been classically trained since I was 7 and I didn't learn the "number system" until college. It's good to give back. Music is a universal language and a great tool to make an impact. All the best to you. Definitely keep learning as you go along, bruh...
Maybe in a couple of weeks. To be honest I'm still a little nervous about teaching because 1) I wasn't taught piano. I learned on my own through playing with chords and stuff based on music I heard and 2) I don't have theory totally downpacked. I was going to start whoever I was going to teach with chords and help people identify the note/chords of a song. #fortherecord starting off (especially without knowing a lot of theory) I'm not charging a fee. This is more leisure and giving back.
The cool thing is that when you teach beginners, they don't know what YOU don't know. So, you teach them what you know and you look like a genius! LOL.Good luck. It's great that you're giving back.
I must be different because I actually learned the number system while being classically trained. They don't call it the "number system", but the numbers were there heavy. Especially with the whole figured bass stuff. But who cares right? lol
The number thing related to the bass started to really make sense when I was at this church a few weeks ago and the keyboard player kept putting numbers up (I guess his regular bass player wasn't there..idk) and it made sense in light of the song being played. I was like "oh I get it!"
That's great! You should always have the mindset to learn everyday...
NRC but I posted too much on this board today (3)...yall be easy. See yall in another two weeks or so. LOL
This is the pickle that was on my McDonalds Cheeseburger:
