I went to Hastings yesterday to buy some old Batman movies. I wanted to get Batman Forever, but they didn't have it, so I opted for the original Batman movie (Tim Burton version). Paid $6.99. I open the case, and for some miraculous reason BOTH movies are in there. It's the little things folks. THANK YA LORD!

NRC but MYYYYYYYY GOD how Willow Smith looks like her father.

I mean... I get that kids resemble their parents. It's the order of nature. I get that. Totally.

But... this... I mean... this resemblance is one of the most uncanny resemblances I've ever seen in my entire life. And then they had the nerve to let the girl cut all her hair off so she REALLY looks just like him. It's just weird. $:-\$

I'm not going to comment on the video and song. I saw it last night and fell off the sofa.

She's quite a character at such a young age. I saw a picture of her the other day and thought she was Jaden. I've never been a parent, so I can't speak on parenting shoulds and should-nots, but too much of anything, freedom included, can turn out to be a bad thing.

I'm all for individuality. I really am.

One of the things I love most about my sister is that she lets my niece dress however she wants - which meant pink shorts, a blue and purple shirt with an orange design, and green, yellow and pink argyle knee-high socks last week. I love that my 6 year old niece is confident enough to express herself how she wants and not be intimidated or pressured into following trends or crowds. My sister told her the other day that she looked like Punky Brewster (we always tell her that) and she replied "Punky Brewster was like 40 years ago and you're still talking about her, right?"

I asked her once if anybody in her class laughs at her and she said that if they do, it's just because they want to be like her and don't have the skill to pull it off.

Yeah, I love that kind of confidence. I never had it as a kid and I don't have it now. But I think there's a limit... I'd have to draw the line at letting my kid cut all her hair off. That's just going too far.

One of the commenters said that it was ironic that she was singing about being yourself when she looked/acted just like her father and sounded just like Rihanna.

I expect her to look/act like her daddy, and I have no idea what Rihanna sounds like, so I had no comment.

I have a question.

I haven't really been following this train stuff, but I can't help but see the pics. Is this some sort of festival or something that's going to end eventually, or are we always going to see train pics from now until forever? Like are these pics a tribute to something that's happening this year, like an anniversary or something? Or are they just random pics, news-related, always gonna be something new to share?

Rihanna. SMH. When I saw her perform at the All-Star game ( I think?) I was like who in the world buys this stuff for their little girls to admire? The girl was dancing in basically underwear and grinding and grabbing herself and going on... I was embarrassed for her whole family. But I guess that's what passes for talent nowadays.
