I'm trying an experiment this week. From Monday-Friday, between the hours of whenever I wake up and 8:00 p.m., I'm going to use the time I usually use to screw around on the interweb to, instead, do my work. So, whenever I get an impulse to check Twitter, Facebook, LGM, other forums, I'm instead going to do my work. Whether it be in class, on the way to class, eating lunch, whatever...I'm using that time to write and study. I have all of my documents on my phone which is with me at all times, so there's no excuse.

So, if all goes well, y'all won't be hearing from me much this week.

UPDATE: two days down, three more to go. One thing I've learned is that replacing idle time with productivity makes the day seem fuller. By the time 8:00 p.m. hits, I feel like I could go to bed because I've completed all of my assignments for the day. Obviously I'm going to make a habit out of this. Another discovery is that, when the time-period has concluded and I'm free to hop back on social media, I don't really want to. The appeal is lost by that time.

In other news, I see the LGM drought has continued. I expected to log in and see a boatload of missed posts. Lord help us.  :-\

we didn't want to distract you from your experiment so we cut back on our posting? .... does that sound plausible?

No? ... yeah I didn't think so either LOL

Well, I successfully did it. It's amazing how much time is wasted on the interweb, at least by me. I learned a lot during this experiment. Obviously I'm going to have to take it from experiment to habit if I'm going to get anything done.

We've had a rough year with players being suspended, killed, trees poisoned...and we still don't know who our quarterback is. just found out our QB is Frazier.

But it's Auburn, so we always expect the best. I'm excited for the start of the season, even though our first 2 games are away.

I just realized how stubborn I am with my writing. Had to work in groups today in PR writing to complete a memo, and I ha to work with a girl that's a bit of a know-it-all. Nice girl, but we were butting heads like crazy. I was picking apart her writing, telling her to take out words like "on" Sunday and make her sentences less wordy, etc. It was bad writing, but she wanted to defend it. She's my partner in two classes, so this should be an interesting partnership.

Don't nobody really care and all, but........

I am of the opinion that the Galactic Empire would have had a better chance for success if its leadership had good management training.  Its corporate culture valued brutal strength and power, but lacked the sensibilities needed to bring out the best of its human resources.  Darth Vader, for example, would have done well to have spent some time on Wall Street.  Not only would he have been a powerful Sith Lord, but he also could have been a stellar senior level executive manager with vast contributions to the success of  major organization.  Then, after the Empire had attained its goal of galactic domination, Vader could have moved into the private sector; perhaps using his talent as President of Bank of America making them a strong and viable financial institution.  You see?  Bad guys just don't think!

....we now join our regular day already in progress.  :)

Doing a video report for class, and part of the video is about this 5-year-old sports reporter. One of the athletes asked the boy how old he was. The boy says 5. The athlete then asks how long he's been a Blackhawks fan. The boy says 6 years. :D :D :D

...or Luke Skywalker and co could have just gone with the-Sith-now-rule-and-Jedi-drool program.

I have this amazing love for doritos...but if they would only make them cheesier :-\ I would be insanely in love with them.
Bro the 2nd degree Burn Doritos was the joint because they had some major "heat going on ( it took me a whole day to finish them  ;D) and I like the Tapatio flavored Doritos were nice not as much heat as the 2nd degree burn joints but good nonetheless.

I used to hang out with some Church of Christ guys and what they'll probably do is search the original Geek and Hebrew to determine that "trumpet" means something other than trumpet.  :-\
