This is rather ironic:

Princeton Bible Church
666 Plainsboro Rd, Ste 648, Plainsboro, NJ 08536
http://www.princetonbiblechurch.com
(609) 275-8092 Additional Contacts

Clearly, the very gates of Hell have not prevailed against this church.

A: "Why don't you visit us on Sunday?  I KNOW you'll be blessed!"

B: "Yeah, why not?  Where is your church?"

A: "We're uh... we're right next the Qwik-E-Mart on Plainsboro Rd btwn MLK Blvd and Spring St."

B: "Ok.  What's the address?"

A: "We're right in the middle of the block."

B: "Oh, ok....what's the address though?"

A: "Huh?"

B: "I know you're on Plainsboro, but what's the aaaaddresssss?"

A: "It's RIGHT NEXT TO THE QWIK-E-MART.  You can't miss it."

B: *sigh* "What is the number on the front of the building?"

A: "...."

B:  ?/?

A: "...just forget it..."

NRC, but how come people rarely say, Jesus was KILLED?

It's always, crucified, sacrificed, or the ubiquitous 'slain'.

which is tantamount to killed.

Because Jesus specifically said that no man could take his life.  He has the power to lay it down and take it up again.

i did think of that, but "slain" is the equivalent of "killed".

I hear what you're saying.  They seem like synonyms but they just have different connotations.

"Killed" has the connotation that Jesus was somehow a 'victim'.

He was a lamb slain.

I hate semantics. This is Mme Rue's bread and butter.

When you're 'killed', it's just BOOM, you're done.

When you're 'slain' you go in slow motion, with the swells of the symphony orchestra and choir from Prague.

Score written by John Williams.

With a dramatic "THOOM" at the end.

OMG, "The Walking Dead" season 3 premier episode that came on last night had to be the best season opening I've ever seen. The last 10 minutes was totally unexpected! :D
