The Santa Fe was a big railroad.  It's even bigger now as a part of the BNSF Railway.

Think the Kansas City line goes out to California - IMO the mountain scenery is more dramatic than flat prairie...

I wanted to get a ticket to ride the train to cali ... but the train ride was an awfully long time (don't remember the exact time) so I didn't do it

Well perhaps, but at least you don't have to give up trains to walk uprightly before the Lord.  Plus you don't have to keep an eye over you shoulder in case the wife or kids walk in on you while you're on the computer.  :)

It seems like everybody cares about what I name my baby.  I wish all these haterz would quit hatin.  I suppose if I had named my girl after a color it would have been the most beautiful thing in world.  We chose to name her North.  Yeah, cause her life will have direction life mine.  The West family are movers and sharkers.  And when it's all said and done, she'll be "goin up a yonder" and we all know what direction that is, NORTH.

To follow on the success of much beloved Norfolk Southern Heritage unit updates, I now present you with (triumphant horn music)....the Diesel Locomotive Information "thread".  The I way see it, nobody actually cares about this stuff so I know you all will enjoy it  :).  First up; the General Electric U36C.
