College Conference News
« on: September 20, 2011, 03:46:36 PM »
Okay could someone explain to me whats going on?

Here I only hear about the BigXII, so how are the other conferences doing?

Do you think 4 super conferences of 16 teams will do away with the BCS bowls and go to a playoff system?

Also, what is the strongest basketball conference?

Here's what's going on. All of the teams are playing musical chairs with conferences....whoever doesn't have a seat to sit in when the music stops will be left hangin. That's basically what's happening. LOL!!

Ok Texas and Oklahoma basically are the key to the survival of the Big 12. If Oklahoma leaves...Texas, Texas Tech, OK St....etc...will follow them.

Syracuse and Pitt are now in the ACC....Uconn is trying to follow them. Once Uconn leaves, the Big East could potentially team up with the Big 12 to stay afloat but that is highly unlikely right now.

My problem with this is the demographics. Ok can you imagine your kid having to travel from Texas to Washington ST? Vice versa. How are these kids going to keep up with their studies?
This is a head ache....fa'real! But it's all about money and football so it is what it is.

Twelve pack said they aint adding no more.  They could be just whistling dixie though.

Reports were surfacing that the SEC would like to have Missouri.  The SEC said late yesterday, "we didn't say that".    Nobody wants poor ole West Virginia.  After being turned down by the ACC and SEC.  West Virginia said, "We aint goin no where, weez luv the Big East".  Yeah because nobody wants you.
TCU said, "man yall trippin, we just get in the conference now ereybody tryna leave".
Notre Dame said they wanna be down with the ACC as if they scared of the Big Ten, dang they play "half the conference" (figure of speach) every year anyway.

It's about all of it.  The exploitation of children; the desire to make money on an amateur sport, etc.   It's just extra for no good, gosh-darn reason.
