I'm getting that itch again...

I'm starting to feel a strong desire to put together an LGM get-together.  I jokingly mentioned it in another thread, but then the thought hit me: Why not?

So, here's what I'm thinking so far:  I'd like to do it in Philly this time around, so all of my Philly and Jersey heads get at me to help me plan.  Redy2beUsed has a new venture that I'd like to support to close out the day.  It's a "Waffles and Worship open mic night". 

Aside from that, I'm open to ideas, venues, dates, etc.  Holla at me.

I REALLY want to experience Waffles and Worship, even if Redy is an LGM backslider... Let's all show up and go after that one lost sheep... lol.

LOL.  Hollered at Redy.  He's down.  We're working on a date.  I'll post it later as the best times get clearer.  For now, I'm thinking late March/early April.

*Update*

  • A couple of people are looking into possible spots where we can get a shed in
  • I'm looking at a date in April, a Saturday.  Suggestions are welcome.  I believe I may have to work two of those Saturdays.  So, it gives us two dates to choose from.  I'll confirm which once I look at my work schedule.
  • SJ mentioned playing pool in another thread.  Koda suggested D&B's as a possible hang-out spot.  Thoughts?
  • Lastly, this get-together is open to every LGMer, not just us east coast folks.  If we get enough real interest from enough out of the area LGMers, we can consider making it a two-day event, like a conference or something.  Just a thought.

Please feel free to share thoughts and ideas with me.

D&B's is a great suggestion. Pool and everything else to do. Im def down. Gotta check with some Jersey folk for a spot

Depending on location, I may be in. I'll let you guys plan the deets first, and see if it interests me (and whether it's in a place where I can find something to do while you guys are doing D&B or whatever other games).

Ok, D&B's it is.  We'll get times down a little later.  Redy's event starts at 7, and I think it's in Germantown.  I'm not sure where Germantown is in relation to D&B's.  So, we'll have to allow for some drive time, I'd think.

If it's on a Saturday, I'm not going to chu'ch that Sunday...jus' sayin'. *kanyeshrug*


And, try to give enough notice so my MIL will take Seraya so Jen can tag along (if she so decides).

Now, have to go practice my pool skills.  :-\

I'm definitely down for a LGM GTG in Philly...I've got some young friends up there who'd like to hang out too! My vote is in for D&B too...

As far as a shed, if yall don't mind driving down to the Waldorf/Accokeek/Bryans Road area (or coming to a small church), I'll ask my pastor if we can get something together on of these free Saturday's....

Nah, see what ha' happen' wuz I tweaked my ankle that during the 8th frame, so I couldn't get full wrist rotation.......

I'll ask tomorrow at Bible Study and see what he says. Is there any particular day, week, month? Or just soon as possible lol?

Generally speaking, Saturdays are best for me.  Evenings can work as well, though I'm usually pooped from working.
