I don't know about yall churches, but my pastors are the first ones to arrive and the last to leave just about every service. They participate in every part of the service there is. They are the only ones I know of who do this.

With that being said, my opinion on this is very biased, so the only comment I will make is it irks the heck out of me seeing leaders not participating, then they get mad when the people don't either. "Get up and give God some praise.." well, excuse me you, were in the back for 45 minutes while we were in her giving God praise. I guess you missed dat huh?

Gilbert Patterson was like this too, and he required all of his staff that was going to be on the rostrum to do so as well. 

My Pastor is the same way, if ministers come in after opening prayer without like an unforeseen valid hindrance, they have to participate from the audience instead of sitting behind the pulpit.

I was trying to figure this out too. I think she means based on what you consider to be the entrance of the church. Some church pulpits now do not have the pulpit at the rear entrance.

No, it's not based on the entrance, it's based on direction... like your bedroom might be east-facing or north-facing, your pews are also facing in a certain direction, as is the pulpit... everything faces north, south, east or west.... or some point between.

Right.  Like I know that when sitting inside my church I am facing east, toward where I live (well if I'm on the organ or drums I face South, but that's really not relevant, lol).  The pulpit faces west toward the Sierra Mountains, and I-80 headed into California.

I have always been impressed by people who have a good sense of direction. In one of my classes this week we discussed spacial intelligence. Took an assessment which just confirmed that I have NO spacial intelligence. 1.4 on a scale of 5. LOL.

and then (I have this problem) when your in church so much that the cliches get to you

Just imagine how it is for some pastors, you thought musicians never get a break man we ain't got nothing on some pastors. They get tired and then on top of that when it is time for a sermon people get to sleep while they have to talk for 45 minutes.
