The bad part about it is, when your kid gets removed from your home and you're still the primary custodian, the state can bill you for that crap! LOL! But on the real, my friend's little girl was taken to Kid's Kottage (that's the name of it here), and actually ended up getting touched inappropriately while in THEIR care! C'mon now!
Saturday morning our local channel 2 had a show on for kids where they were explaining to them how to dial 9-1-1 and how nothing will happen to their parents and most of the times they'll get to stay at home and in dire circumstances they may go to Kid's Kottage but it's a nice place to stay and your parents can visit. That's a bunch of crap.
I was conflicted, because I want kids that are abused to call, but these little bad, smart-talking kids that get whipped and go off calling 9-1-1... that's some foolishness. My pastor said one time, if your kid is in your house running you, you need to whip them, and if they take you to jail, call me, I'll come get you. LOL! ! !
The law in Nevada is you cannot leave marks, or bleeding. My friend's mom raised her nephew since he was an infant, and one day he got in her face calling her names, and before she knew it she back handed him and his nose started bleeding. He ran outside and the neighbor was all over it. Cops rolled up about 5 deep (mind you, she's a state senator's wife). Turns out the kid knew he was in the wrong so he told them he wanted to stay at home, and the cops told him they would've been tempted to do the same thing. The next door neighbor he ran to (not the one that called), was the mother of two of his friends. She told him that's what you get, now go home and apologize. I was really surprised it didn't make the local news.
