I use convert-online.com but I have no idea what a 3gp is so idk if that site will work.

Thank God for Open Source! ;D Im running Ubuntu Studio in a virtual machine on my Windows 7 PC. I have a folder set up to share files between Windows and Ubuntu. Im converting videos in different formats to see the difference in file sizes so my youtube uploads will be quicker. :) The cool part is Im using free video editing software in Ubuntu so I dont have to down load it to my Windows system. I can just convert the videos and have a virus free compter. After a while Im going to see if I can set up guest accounts that logs people who use my compter into a virtual machine. The video software is called Open Shot.

Im just now seeing this. Let me download. :) That Open Shot did ok. I see some guy had other software on youtube that some said converted a 3.5GB file to 30MB in high quality. I converted a 400+MB video to 170MB with some adjustments.

Spent the last 4 hours trying to get Movie Maker to work. It starts then closes. I meet the system requirements and updated my video drivers. Uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it still will not work. :-\

I installed some additional codecs that allowed me to open more video formats ... out of the book live movie maker isn't that useful

Move maker 2.6 would not recognize my canon fs200 files but 2011 does. I'm good now. I will be uploading more YouTube videos.  :) Thanks for the heads up. This program really condensed the size of my files even better than the open shot although I still have not played with it a lot.
