What are the important keys to have a metronome

Im sure guys like George Benson and Daryl Darden used a metronome when practicing their scales. I need to get a metronome so bad to get down my timing and to play fast like george benson.

just search for online metronomes in google. you'll will get plenty of free ones for basic usage.

Yes, I've got a free metronome on my Droid and a free one on my Mac.

You can also use basic drum loops as a metronome, too, as long as the loop point is seamless.

I downloaded a simple drum machine app on my android phone. you can create a beat easily which helps keep it interesting IMHO (3rds, 5ths, etc.)
