All we can do is walk in the Light that we've been given. I would not and could not ask you to do anything different than that. All I can do is encourage you to continue to seek God, as I seek Him too.
You've told me about your office:
the office that i hold requires me 2 cry loud and spare not, God has called me 2 tell his people what they need 2 hear, not what they want 2 hear
Let me tell you a little about what the Lord has laid on my heart:
My job isn't about telling people what their sins are. My job isn't about telling people how they should live their lives. My job isn't about telling people what's right and wrong. My job isn't to convict the world of sin.
My job is to spread the gospel. The gospel. The 'good news'. I point people to Jesus. Jesus is the good news.
I tell the people that feel unloved that they are loved by God. I tell people that are facing life's difficulties that He is the Answer to the problems they are facing; that He is there for them and they need not face these difficulties alone.
I tell people that they can freed from the chains that bind them. Whatever those chains may be God is bigger than those chains.
I tell people that He is the Answer to their depression, not the cause of it. I tell people that Jesus is the Great Physician and Healer, and that He always heals! Yes, He always heals! Sometimes we're so busy looking for the physical healing that we don't see all the other healing He's doing in us. He gives us what we need, and sometimes it's the mind and heart that needs the healing.
I tell people that Jesus gives hope to the hopeless. I tell people that Jesus replaces fear with faith and love. I tell people that Jesus is in their corner, rooting for them, hoping and wanting only the best for them. I tell people that Jesus can give them peace, joy, and love.
I tell people that the kingdom of God can be within them if only they ask Him.
... and yes, there is doctrine to teach as well. I show people the scriptures on who Jesus is and why He came here.
I teach people that sin is what separates us from God, and it's not God who runs out on us but us from Him. Just like Adam, when we're sinning the first thing we start to do is hide from God. God is the One reaching out to us, calling out our names!
As far as what sin is, let's be honest. We have the Holy Spirit inside us. When we are acting in sin we know it. We know when we're in the wrong. We don't need someone saying 'you shouldn't do that'. We need someone to remind us of our identity and who we are. We need someone to remind us of what we're missing out on by not walking in the fullness of who we already are! We are children of the Most High! Princes and Princesses of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
Anyway, I'm getting long winded here. My apologies. I guess you can tell I have a passion for Him, and why shouldn't I?
