Rimshot or Rimclick?
«

I hear a lot of people calling which is supposed to be a rimclick a rimshot.
Rimshot= Means to hit the rim and the center of the snare at the same time.
Rimclick= Means to lay the end of the stick on the center of the snare and hit the rim.
Rimshot gives a tighter marching band type snare drum sound.
Rimclick is just a little click.

I never heard it called Rimclick before.
I think the proper name for it is cross stick.
Anyway, they're both the same thing. (Rimclick, Cross Stick)
A Rimshot is exactly what you said though.
