Hi guys back with another thread. In this video this guy was talking about how to find the main key to any song. This video was very helpful. It help me train my ear to hearing what key a song is in. The main key ingredient I learn was that every song has a note where that particular "note" sounds like home or a place of rest. He said first try to listen and hum the note that sounds like home or the "tonic". Then he said start on the note "C" and travel up through the twelve tones until you find the note that sounds like the "tonic" of a song. And after that hes goes on to say something about a minor chord trick. I must admit there were instances on where I guess the 5th or the 3rd scale degree of a song. That just lets me know that my ear needs just a little tweaking - more like a tune up lol!!!
