« on: April 16, 2013, 05:56:50 PM »
For those who want to learn in every key I will be posting a few lessons to help you. I also will be starting from the beginning myself to relearn the keys. Anybody game?

Objective: Learn triads in every key

Before you learn your triads here is a short lesson on fingering.
For both hands your thumbs are number one and your pinky fingers are number five. Thumb = T, Index = I, Middle = M, Ring = R, Pinky = P. Memorize the finger numbering for each hand.
Left Hand
5   4   3   2   1
P   R   M   I   T

Right Hand
1   2   3   4   5
T   I   M   R   P

Re: LGM in Every Key - Triads
« Reply #1 on: April 26, 2013, 07:41:14 PM »
I have a chart that has each key with the notes going horizontally, so I can look down the first left column and see the key.
I play each key, in the order of the circle of fifths, then I go back and play each triad in root position in each key. I haven't thought of practicing the different inversion. Although this will add to practice time, right now this is the kind of thing I need to focus on. I need to get every triad chord in every key memorized where I can play every one without thinking about it. That's my goal anyway.
