a little pre-concert jam
« on: November 26, 2013, 01:01:08 PM »
I don't often get to play with musicians outside of my church, and my mother happened to record this on her phone so... yeah. I'd "just so happened" to bring my guitar gear with me so they let me sit in with them for the service and stuff. I tried really hard to follow them and not clash with their style. This is after lunch and before the concert as the congregation is coming back to the sanctuary.

It was fun trying to figure out their style during the service and then having this jam session afterwards.

The communication between the musicians during the main church service was great. From the leader on the piano signaling and calling out changes to the organist taking a measure to give me a riff to play for one of the songs, it was nice. Communication is nice...

Anyway, so yeah there you have it.
