« on: December 11, 2013, 01:59:07 PM »
Can anyone tell me what chords are being used in the jazz piece at approx. 14:20?

Looks and sounds like:
Em9 - F#m7#9 - CMaj7 - B7aug

Thanks Dave!!! You are the man, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out the F#m7#9 chord. Do you think you can tab it out?
Thanks in advance!!!

Haha!
Do a Google search on "the Hendrix chord".
That's what it is. I know it when I hear it, but I always forget it's proper name.

The "Hendrix chord" is a dominant 7 #9.  But being that the chord in this example is a minor 7th, the #9 seems redundant; a #9 is en-harmonic to a minor 3rd.
