Idiot's Guide to Music Theory
« on: February 09, 2009, 01:14:02 PM »
I saw a great review of this book on one of the threads (I can't remember which), and I immediately ran out and bought it. I have to say that this is a very helpful book! I have played several different instruments before, all single note instruments. I have never played a instrument that could play chords up until I started playing guitar a few years ago.

This book takes you right through music theory in a very logical way and in a manner that you can understand. It isn't dry like other "how to" books either. I'd reccomend this to anyone who wants to learn how chords are put together, why one chord is different than another, scales and chord progressions. It gives the whys and the hows as to why they work a nd why they wouldn't work.

Great Book!!! Thanks to the guy who reccommended it!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Sorry, I can't remember where I saw the thread at...
