I bought my son the Squier Vintage Modified 5 string bass.  He loves it! It's a little heavy to me, but he loves the weight, feel and tone.  I am actually amazed at the different tones this jazz bass will produce. Great buy at a Great cost.  My son says his Ibanez 5 string feels like a toy compared to the Squier.
