A Warning to My Fellow Guitarists
« on: April 08, 2015, 01:07:15 PM »
If you or a loved one are a guitar player, do not play a new or unfamiliar piece of gear 30 minutes or less prior  to your planned bed time.  If you do, your 30 minutes will become 2 hours and when you wake up to go to work early in the morning  you will be miserable.  The joy that you found wile discovering what you new guitar or processor can do will be lost as you struggle to be productive on the job.  So please, take heed to this warning and happy guitar playing!

So, what did you buy, funk?

I actually didn't buy anything new, but I hadn't played my Zoom G5 in a while.  So the other night, I really got into some of the patches with tweaks and edits and so forth and I was really impressed with the sound and how you could change the order of effects and copy patches and then morph them into something else.....then I did the unthinkable.....I got the looper and drum machine going and one thing lead to another.

I co-signed funkStrat's testimony because last week a swapped a Sadowsky preamp into an already stellar Fender American Deluxe Precision V bass and started dinking around with it while watching the late news Sunday night.  Finally put it down around 1:45.

I needed to get up at 4:45 to make it on time to a meeting I had to attend live.  Made the meeting....was worthless the rest of the day.

LOL... yeah man that drum machine and looper will get you in trouble..  It isn't long as far as loopers go but it is long enough to get the juices going.. My B3 is a great practice tool..
Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.
