Best practices include but are not limited to those listed above. The time will go by before you know it and you'll be well on your way to the restaurant or other venue for sustenance. I have TWO COLLEGE graduations to attend this weekend and I will be prepared for battle.
Okay, so this is how it went. The first one was at Alabama State University and all did go according to plan. I got in a nice little nap, I got a chance to listen to some music on the ole iphone and surfing of web/apps. The time went by fast considering the duration was about 4 hours. One oversight would have been my underestimation of the heat that would be generated by YOU PEOPLE. I figured we'd be alright sense the graduation was inside and in a fairly modern building. It was still scorching.
6. Always assume it's gonna be hot and consider measures for defense. Wet rag, portable fan, frozen beverages, etc.
Graduation number 2 was at Talladega College. It was outside at 9 am and thus much cooler than the graduation inside. It only lasted 2 hours and they had much fewer graduates. Another unintended tactic was also applied. We showed up 30 minutes late. So all in all I didn't have to employ any other tactics there. The atmosphere was more open and relaxed so I was even able to walk around during the ceremony get choice pictures and enjoy the outdoors. Piece of cake.
