Anybody check out this past weekend's episode of Iyanla Vanzant
« on: September 22, 2015, 06:01:45 AM »
She was  talking with 2 pastors both who were on the down low.  She was convincing them ( or they were finally ready) to come out to their wives/congregations.

I guess my issue with the episode was basically they were dealing with the pastors being deceptive and the need to "own their truth". But never, not 1 time did they stop and address what the bible's take (since they were dealing with men of the cloth) on the matter.

They won't consider the Bible's take, it makes for bad ratings.

I saw that.  It was very interesting.  I wanted to know what happened to the men finally, but that was part of a second episode that I did not see.  I have always felt that trying to make a gay person live a straight life as was done in the past was a bad mistake.  It only served to make several other people unhappy(possible wife, children, etc.) Like telling a short man to stop being short.
The men in the video could have gone on with their deceptions and maybe retired or died in their jobs,  all the while living in fear of being exposed as liars and decievers in the midst of their claims to be messengers from God.  Is their problem being gay?  Or should the first words from their mouths be,  "I'm gay". But I serve a God, who sees what is in my heart.  I'd like to tell you about Him.  Can the truth ever be too expensive?  Can a lie, on the bottom line, ever be the best for you? If you were Vanzant,  what advice would you have given?
