After an interesting season filled with injuries/suspensions, a new champion has been crowned.
The playoffs saw Midnight Marauders, Boss, NinerNation, The Dallas Cowboys, Big C's Defenders, and 4HisGlory fight out for 2015 LGM FFL Champ. Niner Nation and TDC had opening week byes while Boss and BCD won their quarterfinal matchups.
In the semi-finals, TDC and BCD, handily, defeated Boss and NinerNation, respectfully. Set to face off in the finals, with Big C's Defenders projected to win by 10, BCD took an early lead in the Saturday games headed by Kirk Cousins 32.20 points. He was further bolstered on Sunday by Brandon Marshall's 2 TD, 115 yard performance scoring 31.50 points.
A bit daunted, Coach Smith of TDC congratulated Coach Cordney on his victory. But, a funny things happen with an oblong sphere made of leather is played with by men. TDC began Sunday with underwhelming performances by Jay Cutler (12.34 points), Doug Martin (8.50 points), and Charcandrick West (7.10). Needing nothing short of a miracle, TDC began to make up ground on BDC with great performances by Drew Brees (28.18 points), Brandin Cooks (24.30 points), and David Johnson (21.70 points).
In the end, it came down to Monday Night Football with TDC needing D. Thomas and the Bronco Def to come through.
And, come through they did, DT scored 12.90 points (underachieving his projection by 6), and the Broncos D did just enough, scoring 8 points to give TDC the come-from-behind victory over BCD by a score of 148.52-138.24.
As such, The Dallas Cowboys claim their 3rd LGM FFL crown, most in the league's history, and the second time defeating BCD in the championship.
It was a great season, and we look forward to doing it all again, next year!!!
