If you're for something with present beats (intros, endings, etc.) check out an arranger worksation. The music workstations (i.e. Triton, Motif, Fantom, etc) all have present beats, but you can't change the beat on the fly when you're playing live, unless you prerecord / sequence the arrangement. I personnal have a Triton and I'm pleased with it, but I also picked up a Casio WK-3100. It's cheap, it has decent sounds and preset beats + fill-ins. I'm not saying that a workstation wouldn't be good for you, just get what you need. Lastly, the organs on the Casio are nice. The rotary effect is the best that I've heard for under $400. My opinion.
