I've got this demo for the software and I have a complete copy on the way.
I just love software.
But, I digress. Is anyone out there using it? What's your favorite feature? What do you use it for? What's missing that another software has?
What's the software good for?
-
Yes, I have Band-in-the Box. I use it to spice up my midis.
I don't use it too much, though, cause I'm a women with not much time on her hands. But when I do get the time, I enjoy tinkling around with it.

I know people that use it do develop their jazz technique, it's like you can play while the bass and drums are playing, it will even print off lead sheets. This crazy bass player I used to play with in a jazz band used BINB to print off bass lines for tunes.
How much did you pay for it?
-
Hmm, I've got plenty of midi files.
I paid $60 on Ebay.

Okay, so far I like this software. For instance, I like the fact that I can import midi files and print a lead sheet and even add my lyrics. This is cool. It seems to be easy to simply type in chords as well and create a song.
But, there's just one little thing. So far, I don't like any of the styles, and it seems like you have to use one. I realize that you can make your own, but goodness am I simply overlooking a style that works with black gospel.

Man, I've got to get me a computer.

I had it then I went to Cakewalk products and never turned back...but when I used it I really likes it...didn't know what to do with it since i didn't have a board to work with and wasn't working with midi at that time..
