Title: Purchasing a new keyboard (KORG Triton LE)

Hi all,

The pastor for the church that I play for wants to buy a keyboard for the church. He is looking at purchasing a KORG TRITON LE.  I have been playing for about 2 years now, and I have a Roland XP 10, but I don't know a lot about keyboards. Basically the only thing that I know how to do with my keyboard is change the tone, volume, and transpose to another key. Does anyone have any comments on the KORG TRITON LE?
Does anyone have any advice about what features I should use when playing a keyboard (besides changing the tone and volume) :-)?

I have a Korg triton Le. It's a great board! I am still learning it. If you decide to purchase it, please read the manual. I just haven't had the time to read like I should. I would give thumbs up for buying it. I play my other board at church(Roland RS-9) I am trying to get it where I can just leave the Roland at my church and when going out to other churches, start playing the Korg. I am so use to the Roland.

i am also in the process of getting a new keyboard
can anyone tell  me which is the best out their. i have a roland xp 80, and i fell in love with the roland fathom, something, but i also like the yamaha motif, but everyone says get the KOrg tritone. which is the best.

I currently have the Korg triton Le 76 key, and Korg Triton Studio 88 key. They are some nice keyboard, they have great sounds. I had to get a piano card for my Korg Triton Studio because the piano sounds are ok. But the piano card had some nice sounds on it.  But I like the piano sounds on some of the Roland products. But if you are looking for a new keyboard to purchase I think the Korg Triton Le is a great buy for the price. The Triton Studio is one of the top keyboards on the market. So check it out too. Also check out the Motif it has some great sound also. But it all about how much money you want to spend. If you have the money to go with a Korg Triton Studio, you want go wrong. I personally like the songs of the Korg keyboards.  One day, I'll probably get the Korg LE myself.

I got a chance to play the Triton.It is a tight keyboard.You can't really go wrong with the Tritonle,Triton Studio,or the Yamaha Motif.There is a upgraded version of the Motif called the MotifES.You might want to check that out.I would get the TritonLe.It really depend on your price range and what type of sounds you like.If you want to know more about those keyboards go to www.sweetwater.com. It give you some information about those keyboards.

The triton le is a cool keyboard,  but if it is to be used in church,  I would go with the 88 key weighted action version, or get a triton classic.  The fear of the le would be the cheaper keybed that is used in them and with various people playing them someone with a harder touch may break keys.  If this is gonna be you personal board go with the le.  I have a triton classic and my brother has the le.  I personally can't live with the limitations of the le, but it sounds good.
