Title: Anyone know a nice loop program?
Post by: Scales27 on July 11, 2005, 06:07:20 PM
Does anyone know a nice looping/mixing program that has choir voices, quartet, etc. including drums, guitar, synthesizers, piano, and all of that good stuff. Money is not common with me so can anyone suggest one thats cheap but effective. (I could have gotten one for $3 but didn't have the money. Also the person that had copies of the program was my mother's ex-boyfriend's co-worker who lives far, far away). Can anyone help me out though.

I have read other people's responses at this website about looping programs - many seem to really like "Fruity Loops".  You can download a free demo version.  I know it can do a lot - I'm not sure about choirs, as you had mentioned, but I'm trying the demo version, and it seems to be excellent.  There is also a tutorial section at their website.  It's free to try.

Yeah I run all of my luve loops through Fruity Loops on my laptop. That way can take them to different churchs when I have to play. And I won't have to bring a keyboard. I just midi through what ever keyboard that's their. It take a load off. But the only thing about the demo fruity loops is you can;t save whatever work you've done. I have the real product. It meets all of what YOU'RE askin' out of it except the choir and quartet voices.

IT'S HOT

goto google then type in either FL studio or fruityloops. And it show the homepage of fruity loops 5. You can buy the real version from that site 2. But you can also download the demo from there 2 but you can't save your projects.

I recommend REASON.  It works with both PC's and MAC's

It is easy to use and has great sound refills.  You can convert midi tracks to audio in REASON with no external hardware. This is very convenient for a low budget or laptop based studio.

i use acid for loop stuff......but it doesn't have built in sounds, you have to have sample cd's.

YEAH I can't believe no one had mentioned reason. I have fruity loops also and it's a cool little program. If $$ are an issue then go with FL but if you want something that is a little bit more on the professional level i would go with reason.

Pro-Tools is not a loop program.

Its a sequencing/audio tracking  software.
