I juss use it on one of my snares and use rings on some of my toms. It seems to me that the moongel doesn't dampen enough on the toms but the rings work perfect on the toms but. the rings dampens too much on the snare but the moongel works fine. It's crazy but it works.

I use moongels with the evans g2 coated, it is all about where you place them on the tom, I use one on each of my snares and one of my top toms and two on my bottom toms, it is all about the placement and where ever you are setup at. And furhter more, you have to mess around with things, until you find what is right for you. By his grace D.O.C.
