YEAH, I WOULD GO WITH VIC VIRTH TOO
-
ACTUALLY I WOULD GO WITH BOTH. B/C I LIKE VIC FIRHT'S PETER ERNSKI'S 7A ROUND WOOD TIP STICKS. BUT I ALSO LIKE THE PRO MARK JAPENISE OAK 7A STICKS. BOTH OF THEM FEEL GREAT BUT THEY'RE TOTALLY DIFFERENT STICKS.BUT IF I HAVE TO CHOOSE IT WOULD PROBABLY BE VIC FIRTH BUT IM NOT SURE.

What can i say....Dig em Vc Firth. jus wish wood tips would last alittle longer!
I do use the nylons also.Kool

Vic Firth Extreme 5A's: Solid, light, strong.
Pro Mark are like the pro-wings of shoes from back in the day....

If i had to chose between vf and pm i'd go with promark, but I like vater sticks
-
Both...I like the Vic Firth Erskines...but when I'm gonna sweat a lot I use the Pro-mark Acid Jazz. So at most big events you'll see me hittin' with Pro-Mark.
-
VIC FIRTHS ARE NICE, BUT I THINK PROMARKS ARE TOUGHER AND MORE DURRABLE. ESPECIALLY WHEN, YOUR PLAYING A SONG AND THE HOLY SPIRIT TAKES OVA AND U END PLAYIN FO HOURS.
8O TIGHTEST GROOVE 8O

I love the feel of Vic Firth but love the durability of the pro-marks.
-
Vic Firth is light and durable so Vic Firth all the way.

I CANT BELIEVE YOU PUT PROMARKS IN THE VIC FIRTH CATERGORY . YOU COULD HAVE SAID VATERS AND VICS BUT YOU SAID PROMARKS.ITS LIKE THIS VIC FIRTHS IS THE JORDANS AND PROMARKS IS THE ARE THE SHAUN BRADLEYS .SO BASICALLY PROMARKS ARE WACK
-
C'mon guys. Just use what you like and feels good to you.
I have Vater L.A. 5a's and Vic Firths American Sound 5a's.
I've also used Zildjian Dennis Chambers. Just add different sticks to your arsenal. You're not sponsored so be open minded. :)
-
sticks are made of wood... so there isnt that much a difference really but id have to say promark and vater or whatever alex gives me at samash
-
Vic Firth=F1 & 3A
-
I use Vic Firth, however, that doesn't deter me from trying out any other brands. I'll go with a consistent stick (weight, straightness, etc.), regardless of the brand.
If you're interested, I use Vic Firth's Steve Smith Signature model, and Buddy Rich's signature model. I recently used Mro-Mark's ZX5A model that was recently reintroduced.
-
i use Vic Firth F1's. i would try promark if i could find a stick that i liked.
-
Wow. That's nobody but God! I just joined this forum and I already have something in common with someone........that's a disiple in this forum. :D 8) :D
-
I use Vater Manhattan 7A's. I wish that Vic firth would come out with a stick between the 5A's and the 7A's. Shorter and lighter than the 5A's but longer and heavier tha the 7A's
-
if I had to choose between the two sticks, I'd pick the Vic Firths... I'm likin the 5A's. My problem is that one of the churches I play for has a set that I call the "stick chewer" The setup is funny... the cymbals are at a straight angle that cuts into my sticks when I crash...
