Hey man...

I haven't gotten many big gigs... But I've played w/ good bands and not so good ones. The (+) part of playing with a so-so band is that, through your creativity and ideas... you might make them better. As chemistry develops, sometimes other musicians want to feed off of that and become better at their respective instruments. Think about a superstar athlete playing with so-so players. Chemistry doesn't Always come but it could spark something. The (-) thing is that your gambling, and that it's a long process sometimes. Patience on your part is only worthwhile if there's growth on the other end (from the other musicians). But even if that doesn't work out... don't stop playin!!!

i feel you on that one reggie.....i mean i love the music and not every band is the dopest, but i would rather play wuth a band where everyone else is good and i am having to step up my game rather thatn a band of guys who are just so so.......

I agree but some times you just have to deal with it.  For instance my church's musicians aren't really that good.  I'd much rather play with my crew that i have grown close to. But im not going to diss them , my church and God just to go play wit some nice cats.

I second that. Some of these dudes out there have skills for days and no anointing. I'd rather play w/ ppl w/ anointing, who play for God's glory while praying that they get better!!
