Hey y'all, thanks for the prayers for last night. We did our thing, even though I'm not always satified with how I play but I know God was glorified and souls were blessed which is what counts.
Anyway, do any of y'all use steel piccolo snares? The church I played at last night has one and it sounds and feels pretty good. I may have to get one!!

I have one its pretty sweet. I have a remo powerstroke on it to keep the over tone down. However maples are my favorite.

For versatility, I would have to say "no" on that purchase. If that's not going to be your only snare drum, go ahead and cop it! :)
All in all, it's up to you and what you prefer for your sound! :)

Sure, why not get you a steel picc. I have one and I love it and i also have a maple 6'x14" Arbitor so I use my picc. as a side snare most of the time but it can be used as a main snare. Go for it man get a good one. Guitar center has great deals on desent piccs. Of course you may know about Guitar center's deals. God Bless 8)

hey Da1witdastix, that's a nice snare!! Thanks y'all for the advice. If I do get one, it won't be my only snare.

I have one on my set. It was my first snare and I couldn't be happier with it. It has a real crisp crack when I catch the rim. It goes wherever I go. It's a Pearl Piccolo 3x13 Steel Snare. I recommend it to anybody no matter what style you like to use.
