I play piano and sing, haven't done that much on organ, only by myself. I want to try it sometime, I'm just starting to get comfortable performing live on the organ.

I sing and play although I try not to sing to. James Hall sings and plays very well and so do all the Clarke Sisters, John P. Kee and Tonex those are just some of my favorites.

It's just vitally important that you learn to sing and play if your working with your choir. Otherwise, their attention span gets short and you won't get out of rehersal by 9:00.....
Practice, practice, practice.....

I dont like to sing at the same time that i am playing, but I honestly find it easier to do it when i'm on the organ..But besides those named, dont forget, Kim Burrell, Kirk Franklin, Tye Tribbett, and those are the people of the new generation, but I know in St Louis, practically everyone here does..Butch Woodie, Darryl Black, Austin Layne, Malcolm Speed, Zella Jackson-Price, Michael Johnson, Chris Tate-Haynes(Jeremy Haynes brother), Dello Thedford, and a whole lot of others..
