Some of those exercises remind me of a book I have.  I believe it's called Bass Workout.  Plenty, plenty of exercises.  I need to find that book.  I think it's still packed away in the bassment since last year.  ::: shame on me :::

Check out this website under the "Communication" section.  There's a link called "Upload Files."  I'm not sure if you have to be a premium member to access this.   Also join B3's site www.brownfloyd.com and upload there.  I use both.

LOL

I was going to use the 8, but I figured that it'd look confusing when posting exercise clips.

I played the 4 at our church today, because I was lazy and didn't want to bring my bass for only 1 song.

B,

Sup...  The one minor progression you hit look like at 1-3-4, 1-3-4, 1-4, 2-4.  I don't have my bass with my right now but I've never seen it run like that.  I've seen minors run using 6 frets but never with a combinations of 1-3-4s.  I knew the 2-4 is in there.

example:  I run my minors like this

----+-------+-------+--------+---------+---------+---------+--------+-------------------6----------------7--------------------1---------------------------------------------3---------------4--------------------5---------------------------------------------------------------1-------------------2-------------------------------------

(introducing...Fingaz Tab)
+ indicates the fret
# indicate the number in the scale, pattern playing should work for any key

Now I don't suggest using this, B3 way of running minors is a lot better because you don't have to stretch.  Unless you have huge hands.  It works for me because I've been doing it for years.  I like B3s way, though, it'll make me quicker.

Ok B3,
How do I glue my pinky back on after the 1403 exercise? It fell off about fret 5 on the way back down...

I think you can get some Bassist's Glue from Musician's Friend....You'd just have to do without your pinky for a few days.
