Nice, what are those fifths that you move to on the first clip.  If so, you can do the same with latin rythms, just add the low octive of the fifth.

I put a sample out tonight on Brown Floyd!

i known exactly what you're talkn about with the latin rhythm ... i play that often .. i'll check out your clip

Never thought about in those terms 1-3-5  that's correct!  no matter how you move around you can still go 1-3-5 wow!  I'll refer to it as the 1-3-5 latin progression.

I like clip number 2, I'll writing Caribbean "riddims" but they are very repetative, i guess that's step one.

that's so true about them being repetative.  I have heard some that are far from that norm though.
