anyone know what it is if so please give a example

Jamal Hartwell begins to talk about this in his latest Xtreme DVD.

This is the example he uses. I believe he is in the key of Ab

The original way he normally plays off the third tone is this. ( 3rd tone C )

The Ditone he speaks of is this:

LH     RH
C      ADG   * Hint I will usually add the E after D but it is your preference

If I remeber correctly he also did a movement where he went up 3 or more half steps to get that neo soul sound. After I look at the clip again I will see exactly how he does it. But I hope the above information is useful.
