Title: Strings on S90ES?
Post by: NewLevel on January 17, 2006, 10:57:08 PM
Hey y'all...I posted a question about the Yamaha S90ES and the Triton LE synths a while back and my church told me recently to look at some keyboards cause they're gonna buy me one and I definitely think I'm gonna go with the S90ES...same sounds as the Motif...can't beat that...cheap too...but I was wonderin' is the strings on the S90ES better the Triton? Gotta have those strings for the warfare worship! I'm doing the research cause I want an all around awesome synth. I've heard different opinions..but I'm just wonderin'.

I own a S90 and a Triton rack, and they both have very good strings (I mainly use the sounds called 'background' on both). You'll be alright with either.

I believe strings, unlike pianos, are very easy to sample/modify and therefore pretty much any keyboard is likely to have good string sounds.

My $.02

I have S90 also. The strings are nice on the s90es..the same strings on them..but they just have more strings with other and more  instruments on the s90es..
