I wear tennis at church....But Playing drums...I think Rubber is best for drums
-
Usually, I just play in whatever shoes I'm wearing. Over the years I've gotten used to playing in hard soled shoes. It's okay on the hi-hat but presents some challenges on the footpedal. When I'm at home sometimes I used to practice in house slippers because they were light-weight and had a very thin sole that allowed me more flexibility on the pedal. I wish I could have used them in church.

I agree that Rubber is the best. Tennis shoes with a flat bottom Yessir!!!!
But I usually play in dress shoes, if I'm dressed up for Sunday service. But friday night, it's all about the rubber!!!! 8) 8)

Yeah I most definitely feel more comfortable playing in tennis shoes then dress shoes, so if its any other day than sunday, the tennis shoes are coming out full force!

Well i play in my High heels ..........lol .........
-
I don't play with shoes on.
-
I will play in me dress shoe, but it gets stuck in my foot pedal, since I wear a size 12. Anyone with a Tama should know about the big gap in it. So, on Sundays, I wear my G-Unit Ree's. I don't consider them as Guerilla Units, but God's Unit. :D
Whatever makes you comfortable, wear it.

most of the times, i will play in my socks. i jsut feel the most comfortable playing that way and i am able to really feel the bass pedal. besides, nobody is really looking that close behind the kit during church to check whether or not the drummer has shoes on....
