Nothing can top God and Prayer!
However you can add to your fruit bowl; this is an important element in my opinion that is not discussed enough in general. Understanding the different cycles of the “Brain,” Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta. This is one of key elements to learning and processing data. If we tap into these cycles/realm more this can aid in “retaining” more data , theory, rudiments ect… Listening to materials we are striving to learn will sleep can be better obtained during the Theta realm.
Alertness, Concentration, Focus & Cognition, Relaxation, Visualization, & Creativity, Intuition, Memory, Meditation & Vivid Visual Imagery· Deep Sleep, Healing & Detached Awarness: All these are important can aid in a better all around person for one and a better musician.
Rhythm is the nature of the universe, rhythm is godhead. Everything is moving to it's own beat. From the micro-orbits of electrons and protons to the macro-orbits of planets, stars and galaxies. In lifeforms rhythm is even more obvious, from the continuous beating of the heart, to cycles of the breath. Another word for rhythm is "periodicity", which means that the activity of something falls into cycles. The cadence of human beings is intricately woven into the web of cosmic pulsation.
Entrainment is the process of synchronization, where vibrations of one object will cause the vibrations of another object to oscillate at the same rate. External rhythms can have a direct effect on the psychology and physiology of the listener. Slower tempos from 48-70 BPMS have been proven to decrease heart and respiratory rates, thereby altering the predominate brainwave patterns.
The brain needs to be exercied daily. Reading upside for 10 minutes can enhance "focus" , Writing with your non-dominant taps into your used side of the brain ( Left/Right which ever is your opposite)(alway has in begin Ambidextrous , Writing Backwards helps with "multi-tasking" (start with 4 letter words for 5 minutes a day. I read somewhere that "Frustration is a GOOD thing, for it means you are learning something NEW." Twenty minutes a day of mind exercises can build and power up you musicial growth. There are many books with different mind exercise to challenge and power up the mind. Build the mind and the rest will follow. Will add more tonight have to get back to work.

My Thoughts: Brain Workout
The brain needs to be exercised daily. Reading upside for 10 minutes can enhance "focus" , Writing with your non-dominant hand workout your used side of the brain ( Left/Right which ever is your opposite)(alway helps in with Ambidextrous , Writing Backwards helps with "multi-tasking" 'COORDINATION'(start with 4 letter words for 5 minutes a day). Nice info.
Same stuff sport psychologist have been doing with top athletes for years.
Just to add to it..... When you are grooving at any tempo you whole body should take on that groove, even your breathing. Just like runners pace their breathing and heart rhythms to their strides.
NIce post again, Cherri. I don't think enough folk here are ready for this though. PM some more of that though more indepth stuff.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and just say it...
I don't get what this post is saying. Maybe it's over my head and I need to read it a few more times for it to sink in, but I'm not comprehending.

I think I'm a little deep, too. But on the spiritual side. . . this seems to border on the meditation/transcendentalism/spiritual/metaphysical realm philosophy. I got a real strong psychic/paranormal vibe from this post.
You don't have to care about what I think. But please, if anybody on this site is still concerned about Salvation and steering clear of little things that introduce us to bigger problems, be careful about this type of "the-universe-is-rhythm-is-everything-is-god" deception.

I know this is not Cherri's original quote. But, no. Rhythm is NOT the godhead. The Father, Son (Word), and the Holy Spirit are (is). Guys please be careful. I'm out.
-
Oh, yeah. By definition, a "third eye" indicates someone's ability to "see" into the spiritual world. And not usually the angelic side of the spirit realm.
NOW I'm out.

I don't get what this post is saying. Maybe it's over my head and I need to read it a few more times for it to sink in, but I'm not comprehending.
Here is the main part of the post:
Understanding the different cycles of the “Brain,” Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta. This is one of key elements to learning and processing data. If we tap into these cycles/realm more this can aid in “retaining” more data , theory, rudiments ect… Listening to materials we are striving to learn while asleep can be better obtained during the Theta realm.

Basically if we learn the 4 cycles of the brain: Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta then we will be able to learn more and retain more musical material even while sleeping. Learning to relax, focus, visualize and create can aid our intuitiveness, awareness and help us heal.

Thanks for explaining. I knew it would come to me after a couple of reads.
