This is for real this time.
Praise the Lord!!!
I took piano lessons years ago because "My Momma made me do it"!!!
I put piano aside as I began to screw up my life.
Then some 30 years later I came full circle to be reunited with the Lord. Now I have this burning desisre to play gosel piano.
I can play from fake sheets, but that soulful gospel sound is missing.
What techniques can I use to give my music more soul. (I do pray for annoiting)
I thought about taking piano lessons , but my feeling is that there
is a distinctive difference in Piano Lessons and Gospel Music Piano Lessons!
Do you Agree ?

For a soulful gospel sound .. take a lesson from
http://archive.keyboardonline.com/index_old.htm
click on Richard Tee or Micheal Mcdonald and take a lesson.
If you read music it will be easy to pick up some nice tricks and runs.
Be ready to play alot of inversions and thumb and pinkie bass(octaves)
Richard Tee was who played Still Crazy After all these years for Paul Simon. You get a good foundation on the sound and the use of diminished 7th chords as pickup notes.
