Hey Val15 Good Post!

I just was wondering if I was the only one that knew that Benedict College Gospel Choir from right here in Columbia, SC are the "original" choir that sung that song.  They had a CD out for about 5 years now, and that was their first hit.  My youth choir sang that song til we couldn't sing it anymore, and YES that song was definitely "the song".  It always gets the choir and church ready for praise.   Benedict now has a remix out to that song and if I can post it or give u the link to it, I definitely will.

Shoot, we was busting this song way back in the late 80's, early 90's when I was a little kid (5 or 6).  This is an oldie, but goodie.  I haven't heard an updated version though, I'll have to check up on it.

I must have been in the dark for a long time because I had never heard this song until somebody brought it up in another topic. When I searched for the lyrics on black gospel lyrics ministry, Rodnie Bryant's name came up, so i'm sure it's a remix. That song is the bomb. If anybody can add to the chords, please do so and share ;D I've been singing this song for 2 weeks and when we finally practiced it this past Wednesday we tore it up...on the first try too :D

We sung this song as a selection at our benefit concert last year!! Talking about getting the people up and taking them back. :o  Like someone said earlier it's an oldie but a goodie.  I remember choirs singing it when I was about 12 or 13.

Acutally the first recording of this song was in 1985 or 1986 by Gospel Music Workshop of America Mass Choir. :)
