Title: Phat Licks
Post by: mr.dj on May 18, 2006, 10:05:57 AM
Does anybody have any to post.  I know you use the different scales to do them but it's not clicking for me, maybe if some of you post some and if you can list the scale that you use to create the lick it will be greatly appreciated. ;D

Do a search for Uriah's posts.  (uriahsmusic)

You'll learn some great licks along with applying the theory behind them so that you can create your own and grow as a musician.

God Bless,

Real all these instruments are relative. You can get some nice phat runs for a keyboard or organ player. I learned most of my theory from guitar sites because I played guitar and keys. I transferred that knowledge to the keyboard. I guess technique is just the big difference. Say if you did a phat run on keys and then played the same run on bass the keyboardist does not have the advantage of ghost notes.
