Why is it the Chris Daddy Dave is not on drummerworld.com?

I don't really know. Clearly he belongs on there. Maybe he hasn't shown any desire to be on there. I mean, I'm sure some responsibility falls on the part of the drummer to make their bio and such available. Maybe not. I'm not sure how that all works...

That is a question that all requiring minds would like to know...Maybe we need to post a clip like someone did for Nick Smith....That is a crazy thought though... One of the most influential drummers of our time is not on drummerworld... God is truly on his way back...Stay Blessed, Nate J.

They've even been calling for him in the drummerworld forum.  No one seems to have any real explanation as to why he's not there.

Things that make you go hmmm.......

He seems to be happy with not being in the spotlight.

Since when did political ideals dictate RESPECT OF THY NEIGHBOR. Be careful Christians... If you really want to see more of Chris dave we need to get on his level. Do the diligent work that he did in preparation and response to the gift/blessing in his life. If you one is not prepared to recieve what he has to share nor even hold  a conversation with Chris on his level then what purpose will it serve. We need to becareful not to be enrgy leeches and bleesing blockers. This is why the gifted/blessed and celebs don't want folk putting them up a pedestal only to push them off later.

Study the styles and artist/musicians he studied (mentioned in his Modern Drummer interview). Study the musicains he has played with. This is how one can get more Chris Dave. Get an UNDERSTANDING of Chris Dave. Seems like right now too many folk just won't to suck him dry and not know him, don't care why he plays the way he plays, why he thinks the way he does. Show some respect for self folk instead of selfishness.

Well said. I am definietly stepping up my research tactics. Understanding is to see something for what it is and not what it APPEARS to be. Mental growth, if you don't water the plant and give it sunlight it will perish. Seek, Respect and Grow.............

Your joke was just a point unspoken. The original question had been posed before. The responses of most have been generally the same. There is an unfortunate "give me" mentality instead of "share - this is what I bring to the table" that is all too prevelant today in general and all too often on LGM.

My comments were toward THE comment and not to the person because I don't know. It was also to correct an err in that kind of thinking which is not productive (... in other words being my brothers keeper). It was not an attempt to be deep... It is strictly being real. We leave too much to happenstance and "it was a joke." That joke expounded of paparatzzi /groupie mentality and "who is better" flame war rhetoric.

The fact that some of us can have general and non-combative conversation on real subject matter is not being "deep", but being responsible. Web bots and spiders pick on all that we say. Countless pros including your Chris Daves are in and out of this site under-cover and statements like that do nothing to encourage them that LGM is any different than any other site. Be aware and be conscious no matter what instrument you play.
