Is there a reason why most organist play with both of there hands close together? Most of the time the organist will play all the chords close together till where there hands are almost touching the other hand. Thanks.

That style is referred to as "crawling". It is most effective when playing certain types of Praise and Worship (which may require "sustained" chords and less improvisation. It is also good for playing "talk" music when you want to employ chromatic scale movements or maybe add an 11th or 13th to your chord. . . . . ;D

Certain types of chords sound better on the organ and dont sound right on the piano . . . and vice versa. The timbre of the organ, chords with a lot of notes very close together sound very good! Whereas on the piano you play more open.

Your feet carry the basslines so that free's up your left hand to play left hand chords. I usually alternate between playing left hand chords and moving my hand to the upper manual to play basslines.

Thats true some organ chords don't sound nice on the piano and some piano chords doesn't sound right to play on an organ. Some musiicians do play all around..like bass, with foot, and space the left and right hand..and this is good cause when its only one musician playing..it sounds like its more then one player playing and its nice.
I don't have a pedal board yet. I want something that won't slip or silde when i press down. Also to be alble to play with my piano {s90 and my vk8m} . Any subjections? ;D

I think that sometimes this is true, but honestly I use a lot more close notes in chords when I play on the piano. On the organ sometimes just a triad or a tritone sounds really phat, where on the piano you have to add more notes to fatten up the sound. Some of the piano voicings with a lot of notes close together just sound like mush on the organ because the tone is so rich, so usually I play more open with less notes on the organ than on the piano.
